EA440 is a half-wave phase-controlled thyristor AVR matched for brushless generator excitation systems. It adopts full SMT surface mount technology to realize high integration in a tiny module. High-quality semiconductors are used in power circuits to realize automatic voltage build-up only relying on generator residual magnetism. Separate terminals are designed for voltage sensing and excitation power. It supports power intake from main stator winding; auxiliary winding connection is optional if excellent continuous short-circuit resistance is required. Connected with stator and excitation windings to form closed-loop control, the voltage regulation accuracy can reach ±1%.

Built-in frequency compensation circuit. The excitation output voltage will decrease synchronously as engine speed drops to protect generator sets. Factory default protection value: 40Hz for 50Hz units, 55Hz for 60Hz units, adjustable via U/F trimmer.

Effectively prevent voltage runaway risks caused by broken sampling wires, guarantee long-term safe and stable genset operation.

EA440 shares the same debugging logic as classic SX440 AVR. Steps to set low-frequency protection: Check frequency jumper position, start generator and adjust rotating speed to target protection value, slowly turn U/F trimmer until the red protection LED lights up. It is a perfect direct replacement spare part for SX440, widely applicable to most industrial brushless generator units.
