LIXiSE R230 Automatic Voltage Regulator

1. Product Overview

R230 is a compact, high-performance encapsulated AVR unit integrating analog circuit and digital regulation technology. Adopting advanced high-efficiency semiconductors, it achieves miniaturization design while maintaining stable performance, applicable to single-phase and three-phase small brushless AC generators within rated input & output limits.
Equipped with under-speed protection and sensing loss protection to guarantee safe generator operation. High-performance semiconductors inside power circuit support auto voltage build-up by generator residual magnetism. It connects main stator winding and field winding to realize closed-loop voltage control, with ±1.5% load regulation and outstanding steady-state precision of ±0.5%.
Different from other expandable R-series AVRs, R230 is specially customized for small parallel excitation generators, adjusting excitation current dynamically to stabilize generator output voltage, featuring excellent voltage regulation performance, simple parameter setup and high operational reliability. It passes authoritative certification: IEC 60034-1 standard, UL 508 and CSA certification.

3. Step-by-step Calibration Instruction

  1. Turn P1 AVR voltage potentiometer fully counterclockwise before startup.
  2. Set remote voltage trim potentiometer to middle position, run generator at rated speed. If voltage fails to build up, perform generator re-magnetization operation.
  3. Slowly rotate P1 potentiometer until generator output reaches rated voltage.
  4. Fine-tune stability via P2 potentiometer to eliminate voltage fluctuation.
  5. Modify P3 frequency threshold according to generator local frequency standard (50Hz/60Hz).

4. Built-in Safety Protection System

  • Under-speed / Low-frequency protection: Trigger voltage limitation once actual frequency is lower than P3 preset value
  • Sensing loss protection: Prevent dangerous overvoltage when sampling wire is disconnected or loose
